These trays hold the bleaching agent snugly against the teeth whether the whitening is done in our office or at home. When the trays along with a professional strength bleaching solution are used at home they are generally kept in the mouth for 2 – 3 hours for a week or two. Another whitening option our practice uses is the Zoom! whitening system. This treatment is done in our office and only takes about an hour to complete. Our doctor will spread a whitening gel on the patient’s teeth and use a light developed by Zoom! to activate the bleaching agent in the gel. After 15 minutes the gel is wiped off and the whole procedure is repeated two or three times depending on the degree of discolor of the teeth. After only an hour the Zoom! system whitens teeth an average of 8 shades, so the results of Zoom! are dramatic.

Instead of braces that are bonded onto the teeth Invisalign uses clear plastic trays called aligners. Invisalign creates a series of aligners from 3-D images that our doctor sends the company. Each aligner gently moves the teeth further into the proper position. The aligners are virtually invisible and can be removed for eating and tooth brushing.
